As per reports, Front number 39, stationary over northeastern Mexico, along with low-pressure troughs over the Yucatán Peninsula and across northern, eastern, and southeastern regions of the country, will lead to heavy rainfall (25–50 mm) in Tamaulipas, Puebla, Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Chiapas; moderate showers (5–25 mm) in Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo, the State of Mexico, and Tlaxcala; and isolated light showers (0.1–five mm) in Coahuila, Zacatecas, Mexico City, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo. Thunderstorms and possible hail may accompany the precipitation. Front number 39 is expected to dissipate by Monday (21 April).
• Cold conditions persist in mountainous areas of Chihuahua and Durango with temperatures between minus 10 degrees Celsius and minus 5 degrees Celsius, accompanied by frost, followed by temperatures ranging from minus 5 degrees Celsius to 0 degrees Celsius in high-altitude areas of Baja California and Sonora. Temperatures between 0 degrees Celsius and 5 degrees Celsius are expected in parts of Zacatecas, Michoacán, and the State of Mexico. Simultaneously, a heat wave continues across regions including Morelos, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Puebla, Oaxaca, and Chiapas. Maximum temperatures are forecast to range from 40 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius in several states, including the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, and from 35 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius in various northern, central, and southeastern states.
• Winds of 20–30 km/h with gusts reaching 50–70 km/h and dust storms are forecast in northern states such as Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Durango, Zacatecas, and San Luis Potosí. Winds of 40–60 km/h are expected in Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo. Similar gusts with dust storm potential are also expected in Tamaulipas, Querétaro, Hidalgo, and the State of Mexico. Lesser wind intensities (30–50 km/h) with possible dust storms are forecast in Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa, the central belt, and parts of the southeast. Gusts above 50 km/h may cause tree and billboard damage.
• Wave heights of one to two meters are anticipated along the Pacific coasts of Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca, and Chiapas. Residents and travelers are advised to stay hydrated, wear light, protective clothing, limit sun exposure, and monitor updates from the National Meteorological Service and Civil Protection authorities.
