As per reports, municipal authorities in Málaga, Spain, have issued advisories indicating that multiple road closures and traffic restrictions may be implemented across the city from Saturday (14 March) and Sunday (15 March) in connection with a scheduled sporting event.
• The TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday (15 March), with the race expected to commence at approximately 0815 hours local time (0715 hours UTC) and the race expected to conclude at approximately 1135 hours local time (1035 hours UTC), after which roadways may progressively reopen once participants clear the route.
• Traffic restrictions may be implemented progressively along the race route as event preparations commence and participants move through the course. The affected corridors may include Paseo del Parque, Boquete del Muelle, Avenida de Manuel Agustín Heredia (N-340), and the access road to the Port of Málaga.
• Additional traffic management measures may also be implemented along Paseo Marítimo Antonio Machado, the Glorieta del Hotel Ilunion, and Calle Pacífico (N-340).
• Further sections of the route may extend through Avenida Moliere, Calle Unión Mercantil, and Avenida Imperio Argentina, as well as Calle Concha Lago, Avenida Alicia de Larrocha, and Calle Jalón.
• Authorities may also impose restrictions along segments of MA-22 and N-340, in addition to Paseo de los Curas, Paseo de la Farola, and Paseo de Levante.
• Traffic disruptions may further affect the coastal corridors of Paseo Marítimo Ciudad de Melilla and Paseo Marítimo Pablo Ruiz Picasso, where vehicle circulation may be temporarily restricted while the race is in progress.
• Preparatory activities associated with the event, including race-pack distribution and event logistics, may take place at the Cruise Terminal of the Port of Málaga between 1000 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) and 2000 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Friday (13 March) to Saturday (14 March).
