As per reports, Bulgarian authorities issued a yellow weather alert for significant rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds across parts of eastern Bulgaria on Thursday (21 May) amid unstable atmospheric conditions.

• Authorities stated that cloud cover is expected to remain significant across Bulgaria, with short-duration rainfall and thunderstorms forecast across Varna, Burgas, Dobrich, Shumen and Sliven provinces in eastern Bulgaria, as well as mountainous areas across the country.
• Moderate to temporarily strong northwesterly winds are forecast across the Danubian Plain, Upper Thracian Plain and Struma Valley regions.
• Sea conditions along the Black Sea coast are forecast to remain moderate, with wave activity reaching approximately two points on the Beaufort scale.
