The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) issued a yellow alert for flash flood risk from 2000 hours (local time) on Sunday (06 September) to 2000 hours (local time) on Monday (07 September).
• Flash floods are likely in parts of northern Shaanxi, southern Gansu, eastern Qinghai and central Ningxia, with a higher probability of localised flash floods in northern Shaanxi, southern Gansu and central Ningxia.
• The CMA advised that other areas may also experience flash floods due to localized short-duration heavy rainfall. Authorities have been urged to strengthen real-time monitoring, flood warnings, evacuation and shelter measures.
