As per reports, the Wither Hills Farm Park located on the southern edge of Blenheim, Marlborough will be closed starting Thursday (27 February) night, due to ongoing hot and dry conditions.

• The Marlborough District Council has stated that the decision has been taken along with the Fire and Emergency New Zealand to close the park in the interest of public safety.
• All tracks would close, including the lower areas of the park which included the pump track at the Rifle Range entry, and car parks. The situation would be monitored daily by council staff and Fire and Emergency NZ.
• There is currently a total fire ban in south Marlborough area due to the extreme fire danger and very high fuel loadings throughout the district.
