As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) has forecast a spring storm, which is expected to bring heavy, wet snowfall to southern North Dakota and central Minnesota from Saturday (23 March), with forecasts suggesting accumulations of over a foot in some areas.
• The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for these regions, effective from late Saturday (23 March) evening through Tuesday (26 March) morning.
• The watch covers a wide area, including several counties in southeast and south-central North Dakota, along with communities such as Dickinson and Fargo.
• However, it excludes certain areas in north-central and northeast North Dakota, as well as locations like Minot, Bottineau, and Devils Lake. Similarly, in Minnesota, cities like Crookston, Thief River Falls, and Roseau are not included in the watch zone.
