As per reports, a wind advisory will be in effect until 0100 hours local time on Friday (05 January) for the Santa Clarita Valley, Malibu Coast, Los Angeles County beaches, Palos Verdes Hills, Santa Mountains Recreational Area, Calabasas, western San Fernando Valley, the San Gabriel Mountains, Catalina Island and the 14 Freeway corridor in California.

• Northwest winds are expected to be between 20 and 30 mph, and isolated gusts of 40 to 50 mph have been predicted.
• Another high wind warning has been issued for the 5 Freeway corridor until 0100 hours local time on Friday (05 January). The impacted area includes the Tejon Pass, Gorman and Pyramid Lake. Gusts of up to 65 mph are predicted.
