As per reports, winter conditions are forecast to return to the Rochester and Finger Lakes region of the State of New York starting on Wednesday (14 January).
• A fast-moving Alberta Clipper system will cross the region, followed closely by a sharp Arctic cold front.
• Transition from light rain on Tuesday (13 January) and Wednesday morning (14 January) to snow showers and potential squalls by Wednesday evening.
• Forecast models currently suggest an area-wide snow accumulation of 2–5 inches through Thursday morning, with higher localised amounts near Lake Ontario due to lake-enhancement and subsequent lake-effect bands.
