As per reports, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists organized a sit-in protest in Sonebhadra, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday (19 April). They demand the imposition of President’s Rule in West Bengal.

This demonstration was in response to the recent violent incidents in Murshidabad district, West Bengal, which erupted following protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025.
