As per reports, environmental authorities have confirmed that the “Hoy No Circula” (No Driving Today) vehicle restriction program will remain in effect across Mexico City and designated municipalities in the State of Mexico on Tuesday (09 June).
• The measure forms part of ongoing efforts to reduce vehicular emissions and improve air quality across the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
• Under the restriction, vehicles displaying a pink sticker and license plates ending in seven or eight, carrying verification holograms one or two, will be prohibited from circulating between 0500 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) and 2200 hours local time (0400 hours UTC on 10 June).
• Exemptions apply to vehicles with holograms 0 and 00, electric and hybrid vehicles, public transportation, emergency service vehicles, vehicles transporting persons with disabilities, funeral service vehicles, and vehicles operating under a valid tourist permit.
