As per reports, the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) has stepped up measures to control dengue and other vector-borne diseases across Delhi as of Monday (31 August).
Following are the latest updates as of Monday (31 August):
• The MCD has conducted insecticide spraying and fogging at 1,197 locations across Delhi as of Monday (31 August).
• The Mayor directed field teams to focus on mosquito breeding sites and conduct targeted fogging at construction sites, religious places, parks, schools and health centres.
• The Mayor also directed health officials to coordinate closely with public representatives, conduct weekly review meetings and strengthen disease surveillance across the city.
• Delhi has reportedly recorded 311 dengue cases as of Monday (31 August), representing a 46 per cent decline compared with 499 cases recorded during the corresponding period in 2025.
• The Health Minister directed the MCD, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and Delhi Cantonment to expedite anti-larval operations, insecticide spraying and intensive fogging, particularly around schools, hospitals and other public places, while strengthening source reduction measures.
