According to the Central Weather Administration (CWA), the following are the latest updates on Tropical Storm Shuligie near Taiwan as of Sunday (27 September):
• The system is currently centred at 24.7 degrees North, 127.6 degrees East and is moving north-northeast at approximately 15 kilometres per hour. The system has a minimum central pressure of 960 hectopascals, with maximum sustained winds of 40 metres per second and gusts of up to 50 metres per second
• The average radius of winds exceeding 15 metres per second is approximately 120 kilometres, extending 100 kilometres in the northwest and southwest quadrants and 130 kilometres in the northeast and southeast quadrants. The average radius of winds exceeding 25 metres per second is approximately 50 kilometres, extending 40 kilometres in the northwest and southwest quadrants and 50 kilometres in the northeast and southeast quadrants.
• As of 2000 hours (local time) on Sunday (27 September), the system is forecast to be centred at 26.0 degrees North, 129.0 degrees East, moving northeast (NE) at approximately 17 kilometres per hours.
