The Hyderabad Traffic Police (HYTDP) and the Cyberabad Traffic Police have updated on waterlogging in several areas in Hyderabad due to rainfall on Saturday (09 August). The following are the additional details:
• Water logging has been reported near Pillar No. 143, and at pillar no 202 ramps, pill no 216, while traffic personnel are on the ground managing the situation. Authorities have further advised commuters to cooperate with the traffic police and to drive cautiously in the area.
• Other waterlogging areas include Janapriya Cross Road, Eshwar Theater, under the Rajendranagar Police Station (PS) limits, Babughat road towards Hyderguda, Panjagutta flyover, Malakpet Akshaya Hotel, from Dabeerpura bridge to Dabeerpura Darwaza, and at Medivision Hospital, SD Hospital.
• In addition, as per the IMD Nowcast, valid until 0100 hours on Sunday (10 August), an orange alert for moderate rainfall of 5-15 mm/h, moderate thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speed between 41-61 km/h in gust is activated for Hyderabad.
