According to reports, the following are the latest updates on a standoff at Nagarasu Gurdwara in Rudraprayag district on Wednesday (24 June):
• On Tuesday (23 June), the Nihangs finally vacated the gurudwara around 1530 hours (local time) and left for their homes in Punjab after an hour-long conversation with the district administrative and police officers.
• Out of seven Nihangs, two had left the place on Sunday (21 June), one left on Tuesday (23 June) morning and the remaining four left in the afternoon on Tuesday (23 June).
• As per reports, the situation has been controlled by the authorities. However, heightened security measures will be observed in the coming days.
