As per reports, the following are the update on protest against Union Minister Parshottam Rupala on Friday (05 April):

• The tension between the Kshatriya community and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat has escalated due to controversial remarks made by Union Minister and BJP’s Rajkot candidate Parshottam Rupala. In response, the Patidar community has extended its support to Rupala.
• The Patidar community leaders convened a meeting in Surat to express their support for Rupala, and further discussions are scheduled in Rajkot to decide on the next steps.
• Meanwhile, women from the Kshatriya community have intensified their protest against Rupala, with Karni Sena President Padmini Vala staging an indefinite fast in Rajkot. Vala stated her unwavering stance and threatened self-immolation if Rupala’s candidacy is not revoked.
• Protests against Rupala persisted across various parts of Gujarat on Thursday (04 April).
