As per reports, following are the latest updates on the political unrest in South Korea, as of Monday (24 March):

• On Monday (24 March), the Constitutional Court dismissed the impeachment Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, effectively reinstating him to his position. As prime minister, he will also resume his role as acting president.
• Han’s return to office comes 87 days after he was suspended from his position when the National Assembly passed a motion to impeach him on 27 December.
• The appeal verdict on main opposition party leader Lee will be announced on Wednesday (26 March), and the verdict on suspended President Yoon is likely to be announced on Friday (28 March).
