As per reports, following are the latest updates related to the ongoing unrest in Manipur, as of Monday (27 July):

• On receiving reliable inputs regarding movement of armed miscreants at Wakha Ching area, Imphal East on Sunday (26 July), teams of Special Commando Unit Khabeisoi, 6th IRB & i/c Special Commando Unit comprising of OC Special CDO Unit and a team of 6th IRB rushed to the area and started frisking, checking and search of the area. After extensive search operations, the teams detected four suspicious plastic bags in the jungle area of Wakha Hill, opposite Shelloi Langmai Composite Farm and recovered 29 arms with magazines. Ammunition was also recovered.
• On Saturday (25 July), security forces arrested an active cadre of KCP (City Meitei) from Thongju Part-II area under Singjamei-PS. Security forces also recovered arms and ammuntion from Shangkai village and Mongkot Chepu village and its surrounding area under Litan-PS, Ukhrul district.
• On Saturday (25 July), security forces recovered arms and ammunition from Akham-Lamdeng stretch under Lamsang-PS, Imphal West district as well.
