• Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sambit Patra has claimed that the protests are instigated by the Indian National Congress (INC), in order to create a Nepal-like situation in India.
• The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday (24 September), issued a statement that there had been no incidents of violence since 1600 hours.
• As per reports, section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has been imposed in Leh, banning the assembly of five or more persons.
