As per reports, the following updates are available on the Kolkata rape-murder case as of Monday (18 November):

• On Sunday (17 November), a cycle rally was staged by activist group Abhaya Manch in Kolkata. The rally was flagged off by the victim’s parents from their residence.
• 100 cyclists and 100 torch-bearing protestors participated in the rally which commenced from the residence of the victim, passed RG Kar Hospital and ended at Shyam Bazar Crossing.
• Participants observed a 100-second silence to honour the vicitim. Doctors and members of Abhaya Manch expressed dissatisfaction with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its slow progress in the case, vowing to continue their fight.
