According to reports, fire extinguishing operations at a five-story building project on Jalan Cikini Raya Number 91, Menteng in Central Jakarta were completed on Wednesday evening (05 August).

The fire was reported to have occurred at 1445 hours WIB. Following are additional updates:

• The entire fire brigade had left the fire scene by 1820 hours WIB. A line of fire trucks could be seen moving in convoy amidst the heavy traffic on Jalan Cikini Raya.
• A total of 22 firefighting units, with approximately 110 personnel, were deployed. Cooling operations were also completed around 1732 hours WIB.
• Meanwhile, Jalan Cikini Raya, which was previously closed, has been opened and traffic flow is back to normal.
• Menteng Metro Police personnel stated that they would conduct an investigation to find the exact cause of the fire and estimated losses.
