As per reports, the following are the latest updates about the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister (CM) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal as of Wednesday (24 April):

• A Delhi court on Tuesday (23 April) extended the judicial custody of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha, and Aam Aadmi Party’s alleged fund manager for Goa elections Chanpreet Singh till 07 May in connection with the money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy. All the accused were produced before a special judge through video conferencing after the expiry of their remand.
• The court has directed Tihar authorities to produce Kejriwal and K Kavitha through video conferencing on 07 May at 1400 hours. It also extended Kavitha’s judicial custody till 07 May in the related corruption case being probed by CBI.
• Aam Aadmi Party leader Rinku Gupta and other party workers were detained by Delhi police as they held a protest in support of CM Arvind Kejriwal at Delhi’s ITO on Wednesday (24 April) morning.
