Update on Deep Depression reported across Central and West India – Thursday (30 July)

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an all India weather summary and forecast bulletin at 2121 hours IST on Friday (30 July). The Deep Depression over westcentral Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas of Vidarbha and southeast Madhya Pradesh moved west-southwestwards with a speed of seven kmph during past six hours, weakened into a depression and lay centred at 1730 hours IST on Thursday (30 July), over east Vidarbha and adjoining westcentral Chhattisgarh. It is 60 km east-northeast of Bramhapuri (Maharashtra), 80 km southeast of Gondia (Maharashtra), 140 km east-southeast of Nagpur (Maharashtra), 190 km east of Wardha (Maharashtra) and 270 km east of Amraoti (Maharashtra). It is likely to move west-northwestwards across Vidarbha and adjoining south Madhya Pradesh as a depression during next 24 hours.
