As per reports, as of Monday (21 September), the following are the latest updates regarding the bye-elections scheduled in Madurantakam and Dharapuram in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday (06 October):
• Chief Minister Vijay is expected to campaign in Madurantakam on Monday (28 September), where he will address a public meeting at Acharapakkam for Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) candidate K Maragatham Kumaravel.
• TVK workers have reportedly began preparing a 10-acre site near Vajragiri Hills for CM Vijay’s meeting.
• All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami is expected to campaign on Friday and Saturday (25-26 September) for party candidate K Kanitha Sampath.
• Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President M K Stalin is expected to campaign for two days for I Paranthamen. Currently, further details are awaited.
• Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) Chief Coordinator Seeman will campaign in Madurantakam on Saturday (26 September), Sunday (27 September) and Wednesday (30 September), for candidate K Janakiraman.
