Update on arrests reported amid pro-Palestine action in London as of Sunday (25 January)

As per reports, on Sunday (25 January), a group of protesters supporting a Palestine Action-linked activist on hunger strike, Muhammad Umer Khalid, reportedly breached the grounds of HMP Wormwood Scrubs in West London.

• The demonstrators refused to vacate the premises when ordered to do so by authorities, obstructed prison staff from entering and leaving the facility, and reportedly threatened police officers present on-site.
• The Metropolitan Police reportedly arrested 86 individuals on suspicion of aggravated trespass.
• The Ministry of Justice reportedly confirmed that Palestine Action is banned under UK anti-terrorism legislation due to prior protests and alleged criminal activity.
