As per reports, the university employees and part of the Jharkhand University and College Employees Federation in Jamshedpur will organize a protest and go on a symbolic strike on Wednesday – Thursday (15-16 January).

Their demands from the government include fixation of salary as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations, implementation of ACP-MACP and raising the retirement age to 62 years .

• The federation has stated that if the demands are not met then the employees will go on an indefinite strike throughout the state.
