As per reports, unionized members affiliated with the All Truck Drivers Forum and Allied South Africa (ATDFSA) as well as the Road Freight Association (RFA) have called for a national shutdown on Monday (20 May).
• Reports indicate that the national security cluster (Natjoints) stated that law enforcement officials are adopting a zero tolerance approach to any lawlessness.
• Further, it has been reported that the police are aware of the planned shutdown and precautionary measures are in place.
