As per reports, train drivers at 16 rail companies are set to initiate another round of strikes amidst a prolonged pay dispute, impacting travel from 06 May.
• Members of Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) will stage walkouts on 07 May, 08 May, and 09 May at various operators and impose a ban on overtime for six days starting from 06 May.
• The union accuses both employers and the government of neglecting efforts to resolve the dispute, citing a lack of meetings for over a year.
• Strikes will occur on 07 May at c2c, Greater Anglia, GTR Great Northern Thameslink, Southeastern, Southern, Gatwick Express, and South Western Railway.
• On 08 May, strikes will affect Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Great Western Railway, and West Midlands Trains.
• 09 May will see strikes at LNER, Northern Trains, and TransPennine Express.
