According to reports, under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the Samba Police recovered a large quantity of liquor and arrested two individuals in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur on Thursday (26 April).
A police team from Police Station Vijaypur, led by the Station House Officer (SHO), set up a special checkpoint near Rahya Morh. During the vehicle inspection, they stopped a TATA-207 Mobile, coming from Jammu. Upon checking the vehicle, the police discovered 253 carton boxes containing a total of 8,998 liquor bottles of various brands, equivalent to approximately 2,277 liters. This transportation of liquor was in violation of the District Magistrate’s prohibitory order issued ahead of the second phase of the 2024 Parliamentary Elections.
