As per reports, a portion of an under-construction tunnel of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) in Nagarkurnool district collapsed on Saturday (22 February). Many workers are said to be trapped inside, as around 50 workers were present in the tunnel during the incident.
Around three have been extracted and have sustained injuries. Rescue teams are undergoing extraction operations. Several ministers are en route to the site to oversee operations.
