As per reports, the National Transport Union has announced a scheduled general strike across Tunisia for the irregular public transport sector on 27 April. The strike is expected to encompass individual, group, tourist, freight, and rural transport services throughout the entire region of the Republic.

• Reports indicate that a protest is also scheduled for Wednesday (15 April) starting at 0800 hours local time (0700 hours UTC) in front of the Ministry of Transport.
• This demonstration was agreed upon during a meeting of the executive offices of the National Trade Union Chambers on Tuesday (07 April) to address operational grievances before the commencement of the general strike.
