Train disruptions reported between Edinburgh and Thornton on Wednesday (06 March)

As per reports, ScotRail announced that its services between Edinburgh and other areas with Thornton has been temporarily suspended on Wednesday (06 March), after a vehicle hit a bridge in the Burntisland area.

• According to ScotRail, train services between Edinburgh and Aberdeen/Dundee/Perth/Glenrothes with Thornton via Kirkcaldy have been affected as engineers inspected the bridge for safety of train operations.
• Train services via Kirkcaldy have been diverted via Cowdenbeath on some sections following the incident.
