As per Kolkata Police, traffic restrictions and vehicular diversions will be implemented on Vidyasagar Setu in Kolkata, West Bengal, from 0600 hours to 1400 hours (local time) on Sunday (31 May) to facilitate repair and rehabilitation works, including replacement of stay cables, holding-down cables, and bearings on the bridge.

• During the maintenance period, movement of all types of vehicles on Vidyasagar Setu and its connecting ramps will remain restricted, while multiple diversion arrangements will be enforced across adjoining arterial roads and approach corridors.
• Vehicles approaching Vidyasagar Setu from AJC Bose Road, K P Road, CGR Road, and Y-Point near Ghora Pass will reportedly be diverted through alternate routes including Hastings Crossing, Strand Road, St. Georges Gate Road, Red Road, and Howrah Bridge corridors.
• Kolkata Police stated that additional traffic diversions may also be implemented as required depending on congestion and operational requirements.
