According to reports, the government, through the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), has prepared traffic engineering to support the series of celebrations for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day (HUT) in Jakarta as of Monday (17 August).
• The series of Heirloom Flag Delivery Procession was planned at 0730-0930 hours WIB, while the Proclamation Moments Ceremony is scheduled at 0930-1130 hours WIB.
• In the afternoon, the Red and White Flag Lowering Ceremony is planned place from 1630-1745 hours WIB, followed by the Heirloom Flag Return Procession from 1745-1830 hours WIB.
• In connection with the above activity, situational traffic diversions will be implemented from 0730-1130 hours WIB and 1630-1830 hours WIB.
• The affected sections include Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Jalan Veteran I, Jalan Veteran II, Jalan Veteran III, and Jalan Majapahit on the east side from north to south.
• Road users from Harmoni to the Farmer Monument can use Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-Jalan Pos-Jalan Gedung Kesenian-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat-Jalan Taman Pejambon-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan MI Ridwan Rais.
• Meanwhile, the journey from Harmoni to Karet can be via Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-Jalan Suryopranoto-Jalan Balikpapan-Jalan Cideng Timur-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.
• From the Farmer’s Monument to Harmoni, you can go via MI Ridwan Rais Street – East Medan Merdeka Street – Perwira Street – West Lapangan Banteng Street – Cathedral Street – Ir. H. Juanda Street.
• From the Farmer’s Monument to Tanah Abang, you can go via MI Ridwan Rais Street – South Medan Merdeka Street – Budi Kemuliaan Street.
• Meanwhile, from the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout to Harmoni, you can take Jalan MH Thamrin-Jalan Budi Kemuliaan-Jalan Abdul Muis-Jalan Majapahit. From Karet to Harmoni, you can take Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Cideng Barat-Jalan Balikpapan-Jalan Suryopranoto.
• Meanwhile, from Tanah Abang to the Farmer Monument, you can go via Jalan Jati Baru Raya-Jalan Kebon Sirih or Jalan Abdul Muis-Jalan Budi Kemuliaan-Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan-Jalan MI Ridwan Rais.
