As per reports, Sri Lanka Police announced traffic restrictions on sections of the Galle-Colombo main road on Saturday (20 June) due to the annual Uragaha Gangarama Perahera in Ambalangoda.
• The procession will take place from 1400 hours to 2200 hours (local time) and will travel along parts of the Galle Road and surrounding streets in Ambalangoda.
• The perahera will commence at the Gangarama Purana Viharaya in Uragaha and proceed via the Uragaha Gangarama junction, Galle Road, the Hirewatta Buddha statue area, Main Street, and the Ambalangoda roundabout before returning to the temple.
