According to reports, the Thane traffic police issued a traffic advisory for Dhamankar Naka in the Bhiwandi area, stating that vehicular movement will be affected due to an ongoing Mumbai Metro Line 5 project.

Vehicular movement will remain affected for a few hours in two phases, with restrictions to be in place from late hours of Sunday (04 May).

• The restrictions will come into effect from 2300 hours Sunday (04 May) and will continue till 0600 hours on Monday (05 May).
• The restriction will again come into effect from 2300-0500 hours on 05-06 May.
• Commuters coming from Narpoli/Mankoli towards Kalyan Naka will be stopped at Anjurphata Chowk. While medium and light vehicles can turn left at Ratan Cinema, heavy vehicles will be diverted at Anjurphata Chowk.
• Medium and light vehicles will have to turn left at Dhamankar Naka to use the Varahadevi Talao–Khadi Machine route, heavy vehicles towards Narpoli or Mankoli will be diverted left from Kalyan Naka through Ranjnoli Naka.
