As per reports, traffic police have implemented changes on the Velachery-Medavakkam road to resolve congestion problems.

Accordingly, the Mayilai Balaji Nagar Signal and Kaiveli Signals between the Kamakshi Hospital Junction and the Velachery Railway Bridge on the Medavakkam-Velachery road have been closed. Instead, a U-turn facility has been provided at a short distance.

• As a result, vehicles going from Velachery to Madipakkam via Kaiveli Junction will be prevented from turning right at Kaiveli Junction and those vehicles can go straight ahead on Pallikaranai Marg for 200 meters and take a U-turn to go to Madipakkam.
• Vehicles coming from Madipakkam Road will be prevented from turning right at Kaiveli Junction and will be sent back on the left and can take a U-turn under the Velachery Railway Flyover and go to Pallikaranai Marg.
• Vehicles returning at the Mayilai Balaji Nagar signal can take a U-turn and return 200 meters away.
