Traffic diversions and Red Zone closures implemented in Islamabad on Monday (13 April)

Islamabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions and road closures across Islamabad on Monday (13 April) in connection with the arrival and departure of foreign delegations. Movement restrictions have been imposed on key roads and within the Red Zone to ensure security and facilitate official movements.

Traffic flow on Srinagar Highway, Club Road, Margalla Road and Express Highway will be affected at various times from morning until late night on Monday (13 April). The Red Zone and its extended areas will remain closed to general traffic, with entry restricted to authorised vehicles only. The details are as follows:

• Traffic from Kashmir Chowk towards Serena Chowk and Srinagar Highway will remain closed on Monday (13 April).
• Srinagar Highway will remain closed between Seventh Avenue Bridge and Serena Chowk, while sections between Zero Point and Seventh Avenue flyover will remain open.
• Diversions will be implemented on Srinagar Highway, Club Road, Margalla Road and Express Highway throughout the day.
• Commuters travelling from Bhara Kahu are advised to use Club Road via Kashmir Chowk to enter the city.
• Motorists from Murree Road can access Bhara Kahu through Club Road and Kashmir Chowk.
• Routes including Faisal Avenue, Margalla Road, Nawaz Chowk to F-7 Markaz, Khayaban Chowk to Blue Area, Nazimuddin Road and Fazl-i-Haq Road will remain open for traffic.
• The Red Zone and adjoining areas will remain closed, with access restricted to official vehicles.
