The Delhi Traffic Police (DTP) has issued a traffic notice for a religious event at Idgah Road, Sadar Bazar in Delhi from Saturday to Monday (11-13 October). Following are the details:

• The Shahi Idgah Management Committee is organizing the annual Ijtema (religious gathering) from 1000 hours (local time) on Saturday (11 October). On Sunday and Monday (12 and 13 October), Ijtema gatherings will begin at 0700 hours (local time) till 2200 hours (local time). Approximately 1.5 lakh devotees are expected to participate in this gathering.
• Traffic may be diverted from the following points, on a needs basis: Azad Market Chowk, Barfkhanna Chowk, Roundabout (R/A) Panchkuyan, Ram Kumar Marg, R/A Jhandewalan, Y-Point, Faiz Road merging with Rani Jhansi Road, and R/A Idgah.
• Entry on Idgah Road will be closed from R/A Idgah to Ram Kumar Marg on both carriageways.
• Commuters might experience heavier than usual traffic and congestion on Rani Jhansi Road up to R/A Jhandewalan during the Ijtema gatherings.
