As per the Delhi Traffic Police, a large number of devotees are expected to visit the Jhandewalan Temple during the Navratri Festival, potentially resulting in traffic congestion from Sunday (11 October) till Tuesday (20 October).
To accomodate the traffic flow, Delhi Traffic Police will enforce the following traffic advisory till Tuesday (20 October):
• Commuters travelling from New Delhi towards Karol Bagh are advised to use Panchkuian Marg and proceed via Bagga. Those travelling from Tis Hazari towards Vande Mataram Marg and Karol Bagh are advised to use New Rohtak Road. Commuters travelling from New Delhi towards the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) are advised to use Minto Road and Rajghat.
• As part of the traffic management arrangements, vehicles approaching the Rani Jhansi Flyover from New Delhi will be diverted at Panchkuian Roundabout towards Bagga and subsequently via Faiz Road. Vehicles approaching from the Ajmeri Gate side will be diverted at Jhandewalan Roundabout towards DBG Road and Faiz Road.
• Authorities have advised commuters to avoid Rani Jhansi Road, as far as possible, during the advisory period and use the designated alternative routes.
