As per reports, in view of the Tipra Motha rally in the Swami Vivekananda Ground, the state administration has taken measures with heavy deployment of police and paramilitary forces to maintain law and order and ensure a peaceful rally on Thursday (27 November).

Several tribal leaders from northeastern states, including Sikkim, Nagaland, Assam and Meghalaya, are expected to attend and address the meeting, though the main speakers will be Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore and Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma. Traffic divisions have also been placed, and suggested alternative routes are as follows:

• AD Nagar Fly-Over, Fire Service Chaumuhuni, Ker Chaumuhuni-Sankar Chaumuhuni-Durga Chaumuhuni-Albert Club-Moilakhola Crossing-Barjala Crossing-Bholagiri Road, and Panchabati Crossing-MBB Airport.
• GBP Hospital-GB/Indranagar Road Crossing-Indranagar Bridge-Dhaleswar Post Office-Joyguru Crossing-Muth Chaumuhuni-Old Motor Stand-Bank Chaumuhuni-HGB Road and Fly-over-AD Nagar-Hapania,
• GBP Hospital-SDO Chaumuhuni-Don Bosco School-Banikya and Chaumuhuni-Khayerpur Crossing
