As per reports, a fuel tanker rollover and subsequent vehicle fire resulted in the total closure of the Guadalajara-Colima Highway in both directions at kilometre 68, within the municipality of Sayula, Jalisco, Mexico, on Thursday (10 September) at approximately 1943 hours local time (0143 hours UTC on 11 September).
• The incident involved the rollover of a tanker truck transporting two fuel autotanks at kilometre 68 of the Guadalajara-Colima Highway, within the municipality of Sayula, Jalisco.
• Following the rollover, the vehicle caught fire, generating a dense column of smoke visible from several kilometres away.
• Elements of Civil Protection, firefighters, and personnel of the Guardia Nacional were deployed to the location to suppress the fire and secure the area.
• The Guadalajara-Colima Highway has been closed in both directions.
