As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued tornado watches for around 22 counties in Mississippi until 0200 hours local time on Tuesday (26 March).

• The counties under the watch are as follows – Leake, Scott, Simpson, Smith, Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Winston, Lowndes, Oktibbeha, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Covington, Forrest, Jones, and Lamar.
• Flash Flood warnings are also in effect for areas in Central Mississippi on Tuesday (26 March) including Rankin County (until 0145 hours local time) and Hinds County and Madison County (until 0100 hours local time). The warning may likely be extended through Tuesday morning.
• Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Jackson, Clinton, Madison, Ridgeland, Canton, Byram, Gluckstadt, Raymond, Flora, Edwards, Bolton, Learned, Pocahontas, Brownsville, Annandale, Newman and Sharon.
• As of 1250 hours local time on Tuesday (26 March), around 12,236 power outages have been reported in the state. Maximum power outages have been reported in Union, Monroe, Lee, Leflore, Grenada, Madison, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Copiah, Lincoln, Covington, and Hinds.
