As per reports, a tornado was reportedly sighted south of Benson, Minnesota, and was moving north toward County Road 14 on Thursday (15 May). Thunderstorms, including severe cells capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes, are forecast to continue into Thursday (15 May) evening across central and eastern Minnesota and into western Wisconsin.
A tornado watch is in effect until 2000 hours on Thursday (15 May) for multiple counties across west central and eastern Minnesota, including Kandiyohi, Meeker, Pope, Stearns, and Swift counties. A tornado warning was issued at 1320 hours (local time) for areas between Clontarf and Danvers in Swift County. As of 1356 hours (local time), local authorities confirmed downed power lines in the southeastern part of the county and urged residents to stay alert for storm-related debris even after the weather system passes.
