As per reports, a strong tornado hit China’s Guangzhou province on Saturday (27 April), killing five people and injuring 33, as severe rainfall and a hailstorm impacted the province. Authorities stated that the tornado was of level-three intensity, two tiers lower than the highest level of five. The tornado hit Zhongluotan Town in the city’s Baiyun District damaging 141 buildings.

However, no residential houses collapsed. Rescuers from the city’s emergency management, weather, fire, waterworks and health departments were sent to the impacted site for clearance operations.
