The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) issued a forecast across Thailand from Sunday (08 February) following the impact of Tropical Storm Penha. However, TMD has announced that Tropical Storm Penha will not have a direct impact on Thailand; it will result in a surge of cooler air towards Thailand between Sunday and Tuesday (08-10 February)
Moderate-to-strong high-pressure system (cold air mass) originating from China will spread across upper Thailand, initially causing thunderstorms followed by cooler temperatures and gusty winds.
