As per reports, on Monday (06 October), miners in Bangka Belitung plan to stage a mass demonstration at PT Timah’s office. The protest arises amid dissatisfaction with policies affecting tin miners, including pricing mechanisms and perceived corporate dominance.

In parallel, the provincial government and PT Timah have reached an agreement to fix the tin price at IDR 260,000 per kilogram for 100 percent tin content, aimed at stabilizing the market.
