The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning accompanied by heavy rainfall and strong winds across the states of Sarawak and Sabah, valid until 0200 hours (local time) on Monday (23 February).
Locations likely to be impacted by thunderstorm like conditions include Kapit (Song, Bukit Mabong and Belaga), Miri (Telang Usan) and Limbang; Sabah: Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Nabawan, Keningau and Tambunan), West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran), Tawau (Tawau and Kunak), Sandakan (Tongod, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat (Pitas).
