Ten injured following explosion at Taubertal Festival campsite in southern Germany on Saturday (08 August)

As per reports, an explosion at the Taubertal music festival campsite outside Rothenburg ob der Tauber in southern Germany injured ten people on Saturday (08 August).

• The incident occurred when a 26-year-old man was using a camping stove at the festival campsite.
• Police reported that a gas leak, presumably caused by improper handling of the camping stove, resulted in an explosion.
• Ten people aged between 21 and 26 were injured in the incident.
• Eight of the injured people were transported to hospitals for medical treatment.
• The incident temporarily disrupted activities at the festival campsite.
• The Taubertal Festival is expected to attract up to 15,000 visitors during the weekend.
