As per reports, District of North Vancouver has announced that the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge will be closed from 01 October until mid-December to allow construction on the bridge’s east approach boardwalk and staircase, which have reached the end of their service life and require replacement.
• During this two-month closure, Lynn Canyon Park will remain open, but trail detours will be in place near the suspension bridge.
• The east parking lot off Lillooet Road will also face periodic closures.
• Alternative crossings, such as the Twin Falls Bridge (south of the site) and the Pipeline Bridge (north of the 30-foot pool), will remain open for public use.
• The district has stated that additional projects on bridges, boardwalks, and staircases are underway in local parks to maintain long-term accessibility and safety standards.
