Taiwan Water activates emergency measures on Friday (24 July)

As per reports, Taiwan Water Corporation (TWC) has activated nationwide contingency measures ahead of the approach of Typhoon Noul on Friday (24 July).

• TWC has deployed 62 water tankers, tested 562 emergency generators, and placed nearly 3,000 personnel on standby. Heavy rain may affect water supply in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and eastern Taiwan, with contingency measures already in place.
• The utility has completed high-level water storage operations, inspected backup power systems, and mobilised emergency response resources to minimise potential service disruptions.
